The Croatian Society of Mechanics (CSM), the German Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics (GAMM) and the University of Zadar are jointly organizing the 1st German-Croatian Workshop on Mechanics, with the goal of fostering stronger collaboration between Croatia and Germany in the broad field of Solid, Structural and Experimental Mechanics, as well as Fluid-Structure Interaction.
Two plenary lectures will be delivered by highly respected speakers from Germany and Croatia.
Distinguished junior, but also senior scientists from both countries, who have established fruitful joint research activities in the past and more recently, have been invited to contribute. The invitees will present highlights of their latest work, offering insights into ongoing and emerging research directions.
The workshop will cover a wide range of topics, including discretization methods, damage and failure modelling, material modelling, computational micromechanics, biomechanics, experimental mechanics, machine learning, as well as multiphysics and multiscale approaches. The diversity of themes and the high standing of the invited speakers make this workshop a unique opportunity for the Mechanics community.
Researchers with an interest in these areas are warmly encouraged to attend.
Important dates:The workshop is held under auspices of the Kroatischer Humboldtianer-Klub.
